Hackers for Charity

Johnny Long made the decision to leave a lucrative security opportunity to move  his family to Africa and start charitable work there.  While I consider myself very charitable, this isn’t a decision I could have made. But what I can do, and are asking you to do as well, is support them in their endeavors.  A little of your money goes a long (no pun intended) way and is always welcome – plus its a tax write off.  This is a charity that should be on everyone’s list after all you know right where the money is going and it is not to line the pockets of the “non-profit” its going right to their family and their cause.

Normally, I went to conferences and seldom spoke at them, partly because I thought no one would listen, and partly because I thought I had nothing new to add but as I am finding out the 16+ years in infosec have filled me with lots of things to say and those that are attending my talks are praising me so I must be doing something right. While I am far from an infosec “rockstar” I have put in for some talks and if selected I pledge to donate any proceeds from the talks to HFC.  They need our help.

I think therefore I am. – I hack therefore I am hackers for charity.
