PwnPack version 2 released

*** UPDATE: VERSION 2 Released***
It’s finally here: PwnPack version 2! Thank you everyone for being patient and waiting for the new release. In an effort to make this release a lot better I put a lot of work into creating an install script (my first attempt at something like this so expect many more changes to come soon WRT install) and a configuration script. More work will be done on these as I learn easier/new/better ways to do things. In an effort to keep the “code” consistent as much as possible I reused a lot of the same “code” from script to script – this work out well except for the missing fi (closing an if statement) that I found late in my testing which meant I had to fix it everywhere :).

A few things that are included in this release:
1. All tools/scripts from pwnpack v1
2. New tools/scripts to include: findmyhash, cewl, web-sorrow, apfooker (name changed so I don’t curse too much), airmon,
3. An install script that points you to where to download files I didn’t get to in the install process.
4. A configuration script. One issue with some of the tools, especially those that are a simple python script, is that I have no idea where you may have installed them so I have to find them. With the introduction of the configuration file, once found the config file is updated so subsequent runs know where the tools are.

The readme can be found here: http://www.securemaryland.org/?attachment_id=853

Pwnpack itself can be found on my github: https://github.com/securemaryland/PwnPack

Enjoy and as always if there are problems or additions you want to see let me know.

Version 1 notes below:

In an effort to offer a more formalized release of tools for the PwnPad, and instead of releasing them piecemeal one-by-one, I decided to release them in a package. So welcome pwnpack version 1. This represents the collection of tools that I have been working on for the pwnpad. Many more are in the works – if you have a favorite tool that you would like included leave a comment(s) and I will see if I can get it added. I hope you enjoy the tools. Note some of the scripts will be loaded to github as well so they can be maintained.

Hope you enjoy them many more to come:

*** UPDATE DerbyCon 9/29***

Thanks to the great folks over at pwnieexpress and their “build you own pwnpad” event at DerbyCon, I got a chance to meet a lot of new owners of pwnpad. Well I guess it’s time for me to get off my ass and finish (as much as can be) version 2 of my pwnpack. I will have an update this week so feel free to check it out.

****UPDATE 7/2****

I haven’t forgotten about you and I am sorry I missed the weekend release of the next version but the wife and friends wanted to go golfing and then I had to clean up the yard so spent more time away form keyboard than originally expected. But I kept the wife happy which makes everyone happy – except all you waiting on more tools that is.  I have Cewl, AP_fooker, Airmon-ng and Nikto done.  Once I get findmyhash and wsorrow done I will release the next Pwnpack. I am working getting skipfish developers debug code so they can work on skipfish issue – if that gets fixed quickly it will be included but I want to get something out now.

****UPDATE 6/25 ****

Logcopy was accidently saved with windows eol markers and not Unix ones so it may throw an error. If it does VI logcopy1.sh and then hit the esc key and type :set fileformat=unix followed by a  :wq. This will be corrected in the next release coming out this weekend (that is what I am shooting for).
